The City of Sweetwater owns and maintains a cemetery located at 2000 West Alabama Street for the benefit of citizens of Sweetwater. Open spaces and individual lots are maintained by the Parks and Recreation personnel.

Fundraising is the responsibility of a nine-member Cemetery Board appointed for two-year staggered terms by the City Commission.
