Commercial Collections: Republic Services provides collection from commercial customers by contract. The types of collection include two, three, four, and six cubic-yard, front-load dumpsters and , on occasion, three cubic-yard, side-load dumpsters. Wastes are direct-hauled from the collection routes to a regional type I landfill.

Residential Collections: Republic Services provides collection from residential customers by contract. The types of collection include 95 gallon polly carts. The wastes are direct-hauled from the collection routes to a regional type I landfill.

Refuse Disposal & Recycling provides a local type IV landfill for waste diversion of construction and demolition wastes, furniture, brush, and other rubbish not previously mixed with household wastes. Contractors or those who do not have a City of Sweetwater water account  must pay $10 per cubic yard to utilize the City of Sweetwater Landfill It also offers a drop-off recycling center.
