The City of Sweetwater owns and maintains a cemetery located at 2000 W. Alabama Street for the benefit of citizens of Sweetwater. Open spaces and individual lots are maintained by the Parks and Recreation personnel.

Fund-raising is the responsibility of a nine-member Cemetery Board appointed for two-year staggered terms by the City Commission.
