The City of Sweetwater and the The Sweetwater and Nolan County Chamber of Commerce are joining together to bring back the Community Garage Sale. on Saturday, October 21, 2023, we encourage you to host a garage sale at your property. It can be just your family, multi-family, estate, whatever you choose! If you choose to participate, please fill out our online form, call the Chamber at (325) 235-5488, or City Hall at (325) 236-6313. The City and Chamber will create a list of participating Garage Sales that will be available for pick-up at the Chamber and City Hall. In order to be added to the listing, please submit your Garage Sale information by Friday, October 13, 2023. 

Following the Garage Sale, the City of Sweetwater is offering a free haul-off service for residents within the City limits. Any items that do not sell that you no longer want must be placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. Monday, October 23rd. On that date, City crews will make their way down the list of participating Garage sales within City limits and haul any unwanted items at the curb to the Landfill free of charge. Please note, the Landfill is unable to accept tires, paint, chemicals, cardboard boxes, and household trash.
